Open House at Foundation Clay

Hey Y'all!

As you know,  in October of  2011, I moved into my current studio, 

Foundation Clay, in the Asheville River Arts District.  

We are very excited to finally be hosting our first official open house this Saturday!

Come join us for a day of demos, conversation, and celebration in clay 

This Saturday. April 13th, 2013

1 pm until 6 pm

Located in the Wilke Building (97 Roberts Street)

Next door to the Phil Mechanic Studios.

We are on the bottom floor facing the railroad tracks. 

There will be plenty of signage!

hey yall! so i often i hear yall talking about coming down here to the crystal coast. i know you are looking for an excuse to visit beaufort (or one of our beautiful beaches) this summer! plan your vacation and save the date for july 2nd! me and four of my artist friends will be having a show at the beaufort art center. last summer, we had a similar show and it was a blast! so if you missed it, here is your chance.  more details to follow, but go ahead and mark it on your calender!

i unloaded the kiln yesterday... i 'm super excited about some colors i have finally found success with! pictures to come. art show in two days. its going to be along night!

what is this you ask? let me expalin. this week i am gearing up for a show here at the Beaufort Art Center.  i am putting togther a collection of some of my most favoritist pots to make: big jars, teapots, bottles, bowls, platters and pitchers.  while running  a little low on my smaller items, it is so exciting to be back doing the things i love most. aka oversized pots (bowls, jars) and smaller things that are cool practices in design (teapots etc). i'm  firing the first bisque kiln today...fingers crossed for the week ahead!
